The environment matters.

Our main ethos as a company is to be aware of where and how our products are being produced, and to use sustainable methods of production where possible. Click on the accordion below to find out more about some of our listed products.

  • All of our wallpapers are designed, produced and manufactured in the UK, using as sustainable and eco-friendly methods as possible. The majority of our wallpapers are printed onto recycled bases and majority low toxicity inks are used. Our wallpapers are also uncoated, which means they can be easily recycled after use [Please contact your local recycling depot for information regarding how to safely and correctly dispose of wallpaper in your region].

  • Our candles are designed, produced and manufactured in the UK by a small business, and all decorative vinyl stickers used are part recycled. Soy/ natural waxes are used. For full ingredients, please see each candle listing under ‘More Information’.

All candles come pre-wrapped in recycled cellophane, using offcuts of our wallpaper for labels.

  • Where we can, we prefer to use screen-printing methods for our fabric products, as the inks we use are low toxicity and the runs are smaller, whch means we hold better quality control. It also ensures that the products stay in-studio instead of being shipped back and forth from several different places. Any digitally printed fabrics are labelled as such.

We encourage the use of eco-friendly methods when washing, and most of our fabric products can be cleaned using a low temperature, quicker wash. Our fabric bases will contain majority natural fibres, ie cotton, lien etc., and we try to avoid polyester mixes when possible.

  • Our mainline ceramics are hand made in small batches by Yukari, and kiln fired in London. All packaging is made by creatively recycling our wallpaper and fabric offcuts. These are small batch productions, and all materials used are sourced from the UK.

Our collaboration ceramics are made in Japan, using traditional methods, by a small family run business.

When sending you your order, we use recyclable materials such as cardboard and paper where we can. Some of our home accessories will be packed in plastic in order to protect them from potential water damage or movement in transit. In accordance with COVID-19 guidelines, we now issue slips within all orders encouraging our clients to dispose of all packaging upon delivery. However, as times move forward, we only issue these as precautions; it is ultimately up to you if you would prefer to reuse the boxes and packaging materials. We try (where we can) not to use sellotape on internal protective packaging so that you can keep and repurpose any packaging items that you may find useful.
